Carbon Footprint
We are focusing on reducing our negative impact on the environment, (having identified that travel and printing are the areas that most contributed to the size of our footprint) and so far we have taken the following steps:
Printing
Printing
- We use Kyocera printers. Kyocera operates under strict, group-wide environmental preservation measures.
- All printer default settings are double-sided monochrome.
- In an effort to reduce paper waste, we encourage others and ourselves to think before we print. The following is included on all emails: CATALYST4 is committed to environmental sustainability. Please think twice before printing this email.
- Peter uses a tablet notebook so note taking is paperless.
- All paper is recycled.
Travel
Travel is a major environment cost in our business. The steps we are currently taking to reduce our footprint in this area are:
- We make a donation every time we travel to the Air New Zealand Environment Trust, which is committed to supporting projects that enhance New Zealand's clean, green reputation around the world.
- Our motor vehicles are chosen based on the impact on environment.
- We support local business when possible.
